DapuStor Completes a Certification with Alibaba Cloud Database PolarDB

Recently, DapuStor conducted a product integration certification with Alibaba Cloud Products Databases PolarDB. The test results show that the DapuStor PCIe4.0 Roealsen5 series eSSD fully meets the compatibility certification requirements and has good compatibility and stability with the following Alibaba Cloud products: Alibaba Cloud PolarDB and PolarDB for Xscale.

PolarDB is a new-generation cloud-native database service developed by Alibaba Cloud. It not only has the low-cost advantage of distributed design but also has centralized ease of use.

Over the years, Alibaba Cloud has made many innovations for PolarDB, such as achieving a cost of only one-tenth that of traditional commercial databases by decoupling computing resources from storage resources and using integrated software and hardware. The architecture in which computing, memory, and storage resources are decoupled, multiple primary nodes and HTAP, serverless and other features innovated by Alibaba Cloud are the world's first or industry-leading technologies. Since the release of PolarDB, it has gained rapid development in both technology and commercial and has now become the most shining product in the Alibaba Cloud database product family. 

In 2021, Alibaba Cloud officially open-sourced PolarDB. PolarDB-PG and PolarDB-X are fully open-sourced to build a cloud-native distributed database ecosystem together with community members.

The DapuStor PCIe4.0 Roealsen5 series - R5100, R5300, R5101, and R5301 are the new-generation NVMe PCIe 4.0 eSSDs from DapuStor. They are equipped with KIOXIA 112-layer 3D Enterprise TLC NAND. The DapuStor PCIe 4.0 Roealsen5 series supports Flash Raid 2.0 which can tolerate multiple flash die failures without affecting service and performance and firmware online upgrades. Compared with the DapuStor PCIe3.0 eSSDs, the DapuStor PCIe 4.0 Roealsen5 series offers a 100% improvement in performance, and capacities ranging from 2TB to 16TB.

The DapuStor PCIe 4.0 Roealsen5 series delivers advanced enterprise features such as advanced power loss protection, end-to-end data protection, multi namespace, VSS, NVMe MI, and 9 levels of adjustable power consumption. With its high reliability, high performance, and low latency, the DapuStor PCIe4.0 Roealsen5 series caters to different business scenarios with stringent requirements for next-generation flash storage products.

After rigorous testing, both parties' products are fully compatible and have stable overall operation, performing well in functionality, performance, and compatibility.
